Friction Quartet @ Center for New Music

  • Center for New Music 55 Taylor Street San Francisco, CA 94102 (map)

Friction Quartet commissioned Brendon Randall-Myers and Adam Cuthbert to write new music. Brendon wrote Juiced – a study on temptation and addiction inspired by the film, Requiem for a Dream. Adam Cuthbert arranged his piece, universe explosion for double quartet and octave-dropped cello. The program also features music by Bruce Hobson and Missy Mazzoli.

This concert is generously supported by Equinox Music and the Center for New Music.
